Kaalan Walker, a 27-year-old Superfly actor, was sentenced to 50 years in jail on October 17, 2022, for allegedly sexually assaulting many women. People News reports that on April 18, 2022, Kalaan Walker was convicted of abusing four women and three minor girls he contacted on social media networks.
About thirty women have accused Walker of sexual misconduct between 2013 and 2018, according to Hollywood Unlocked. According to reports, he used his professional connections to exploit his victims, who were primarily aspiring actors and models.
Kaalan Walker has violated his obligations to his victims
According to Deputy District Attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi, Kaalan Walker is accused of contacting victims on Instagram and Twitter under the pretense of photographing and filming music videos.
Prosecutors also said that Walker would name celebrities such as Drake to convince women that he could set up meetings with them. He is accused of trying to exploit girls when they were inebriated in at least two cases.
According to Fardghassemi, the women who came forward did not know one another, but they all claimed to be victims of the actor.
She declared:
“The defendant Kaalan Walker is the one thing that binds all of these ladies.” You will observe a darker aspect of him.”
She went on to say:
“He didn’t care when they shouted ‘Stop’ at him.”
Andrew Flier, Walker’s attorney, replied to the charges by asserting that the ladies were making false allegations to wreak revenge on the actor and that their actions mirrored the mentality of business politics.
Flier stated:
“My client asserts his innocence vehemently. “He did not receive a fair trial since the court disregarded several crucial issues.”
According to Flier, the woman filed a lawsuit against his client for failing to fulfill his promise to advance their career. Yet, he claimed that Walker had not attacked them.
He declared:
“My client has been unfairly dubbed a monster (…) they will lie to you since they know you fell for his Crap.”
He proceeded:
“Mr. Walker has a tendency to make false promises, and they fell for it… Each of these women made her own decisions consciously. He did not force them… That is retaliation against Mr. Walker, and we will not permit it.”
According to IMDB, Kaalan Walker also appeared in In Contempt and Kings. He was a rapper and dancer as well.
