Bankman-Fried started trading foreign ETFs at Jane Street Capital, a proprietary trading company, in the summer of 2013. After graduating, he went back full-time after beginning as an intern.

Sam was one of the top 100 wealthiest persons in the world as of Monday, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. However, FTX was worth $1 prior to the Friday bankruptcy notification.
Bankman offered his sincere regrets in a tweet on Thursday. Sam also promised to keep trying to maintain the company.
The collapse of FTX goes beyond financial loss. The company sponsored Major League Baseball, Formula One racing, a sports stadium in Miami, and numerous other significant sporting events. Mercedes declared that FTX wouldn’t be used in their race cars starting this weekend.
Bankman-Fried has further problems. A source claims that the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission are looking into FTX to determine whether any criminal activity or securities violations have taken place.

He is not gay, despite what FTX and Alameda’s Anonymous workers purportedly told CoinDesk, who claimed that Bankman-Fried was dating a colleague of his named Caroline Ellison.
Sam has not yet formally confirmed this information, though. However, there is no information regarding Sam being gay anywhere on the internet, proving that the allegations are false.
Sam is the son of Stanford Law School professors Barbara Fried and Joseph Bankman. Sam grew up in a Jewish upper-middle-class home in California.
His aunt Linda P. Fried serves as the dean of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. His brother, Gabe Bankman-Fried, is a former Wall Street trader and the director of the non-profit Guarding Against Pandemics.
