The Hulu docuseries The Ashley Madison Affair will eventually debut on July 7, 2023. The production of this documentary, which is based on an intriguing exposé that carefully explores the circumstances leading up to the data leak in the Ashley Madison servers, was a joint effort between Wall to Wall Media and ABC News Studios.

Ashley Madison was a well-known website that attracted a lot of potential adulterers from throughout the world. On the other hand, a notice reading “Shut down Ashley Madison immediately (or) we will release all customer records, profiles, s*xual fantasies… real names and addresses” emerged when employees at the Toronto headquarters logged on to their computers one morning in July of 2015.

“The proprietors of Ashley Madison refused to abide by the “Impact Team’s” demands as they prepared to launch the company in a billion-dollar IPO. Following through on their promises, the Impact Team released around 10 gigabytes of user data into the dark web thirty days later. This had horrible repercussions for those who had registered on the site, including suicidal ideation, extortion, and public humiliation.
Beth Hoppe of ABC News Studios and Fred Hepburn and Jeremy Dear of Wall to Wall Media devised the series. The Hulu series aims to educate viewers on the most famous data breach and the effects it has had up to this point. The website was utilized by 60 million users from 53 countries as of February 2019.
