Even though they had only been dating for a few weeks before to the season 7 finale of Bachelor in Paradise, which aired in the summer of 2021, Serena and Joe got engaged. The couple had been in a long-distance relationship for almost a year before relocating in March 2022. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt claim that
“We always knew marriage was in our future; it just didn’t look the way we had seen it.”
Additionally, Serena and Joe intend to host a huge wedding for their loved ones and friends in the fall of next year because, as the groom put it,
Who wouldn’t desire a second marriage to their true love?
Amabile and Serena Pitt met on the season 7 premiere of Bachelor in Paradise, which was shown on August 16, 2021, but was taped that summer. They were crowned prom king and queen. Since it was his second visit to the beach, Joe was anxious about being by himself. He stated:
Therefore, I don’t see the need in sticking around till I discover someone I’m genuinely interested in.
He was seen kissing Serena on the first day, showing his growing fondness for her. On September 29, the season’s prom episode aired, and Joe Amabile posted an Instagram picture of the two together.
Serena and he had received the prom king and queen titles. Following his ex’s appearance on the beach, Joe proposed to Serena on October 5, expressing his feelings that he only loved Selena and did not love his ex, Kendall Long. He questioned Pitt,
“You were the first to admit your love for me to me. It’s my turn now since you were the first to declare your love for me. I admire you, Serena Pitt. Would you marry me?
Shortly after the finale aired, Serena tweeted a picture of the two of them. Joe previously mentioned that they were taking things carefully in real life before getting married on the Bachelor Happy Hour Podcast. After the event, Joe left for Chicago, while Serena stayed in Toronto.
Before their 10-day trip to Mexico, they said that they had been on the program together for roughly a month. They decided to start a long-distance relationship as a result so they could have weekly visits.
They celebrated Thanksgiving in Chicago with Joe Amabile’s family and Christmas in New York with Serena’s family. Additionally present at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards were Joe and Serena. In March 2022, Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile moved in together in New York, with Joe stating,

In May, Serena revealed to Life & Style that the couple was thinking about a wedding date. The couple lost to Loren and Alexei Brovarnik in the Best Reality Romance category at the 2022 MTV Movie and TV Awards. On August 25, 2022, Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt planned an engagement celebration in Toronto after learning that their parents had never actually met. In 2022, on October 27, the couple got hitched.
