The six-part docuseries will follow Christina, her husband Joshua, their three children — Taylor, 11, Brayden, 6, and Hudson, 2 — and their french bulldog Cash as they settle in the Tennessee countryside to explore the world of design.

Christina in the Country’s first episode has the following official synopsis:

“As Christina launches her design firm in Tennessee, Josh suggests Christina’s first customers be his sister and her husband; Christina redesigns their kitchen and living rooms and experiences rural life as well as Nashville nightlife.”

Christina referred to her next project as her “best project ever” in a November 2022 Instagram post. She stated, ”

“I have fallen in love with Tennessee and it really has become our home away from home. To be able to expand my design firm both here and in California is a dream come true.”

Christina in the Country’s first episode will feature Joshua Hall’s sister as a client

Christina’s third husband, Joshua Hall, a Texas-based realtor and former law enforcement officer who grew up in California and became a part of Christina’s life when the couple married in April last year, will appear on the show.

Unbroken Productions, a collaborative production company they founded, co-produced Christina on the Coast season 4. The company will also co-produce Christina in the Country.

Christina’s ex-husbands Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead will also appear in a future season. The duo will be featured on the show designing modern kitchens, spa-like bathrooms, and one-of-a-kind living spaces for lucky clients. Christina and her family will go berry picking, visit an alpaca farm, go horseback riding, and line dance in Nashville.

The first customer featured in Episode 1 of the program is Joshua’s sister

Christina and her team, which includes colleague designer and project manager James Bender, will be featured in the season’s first episode as they transform a run-down property into a stunning new one.

Hall stated, according to a news release:

“It’s been a lot of fun working on this show with my husband, and we’re very proud of it!” We have an incredible team in both California and Tennessee, and I am grateful for everyone’s efforts in making two concerts happen at the same time. I am confident that you will enjoy this presentation as much as we do and fall in love with the South!”

Katie Ruttan-Daigle, HGTV’s Vice President of Programming, explained the scope of the new series on the channel’s website:

“Christina has captured millions of ardent fans with her West Coast life in three seasons of Christina on the Coast. She is now ready to share new family experiences as well as magnificent design and remodeling projects in Tennessee’s beautiful countryside.” We can’t wait to see what Christina does next in the country.”

Christina in the Country, produced by Balthazar Entertainment in collaboration with Glass Entertainment Group and Unbroken Productions, will premiere on HGTV and Discovery Plus on Thursday, January 12, at 8 p.m. ET.
