While leading the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL League, he has a 114-56-8-6 record. The Eastern Collegiate Hockey League’s Toledo Walley hired him as their head coach in 2014. Under his leadership, the Toledo Walleye went 97-35-7-5 and captured the ECHL regular-season title twice in a row.

He won the John Brophy Award for ECHL coach of the year while leading the Toledo Walleye. He served as the head coach of the Lowa Wild (AHL) of the American Hockey League from 2016 to 2018.
