Barstool Sports Expanded Under Her Direction

After years of working in advertising, she had amassed quite a resume and a wealth of experience, and she was ready to embark on something new and creative. She also happened to meet Dave Portnoy while in New York.

Dave was the president of Barstool Sports at the time, and Cherin Group purchased the blog in 2016. Erika, on the other hand, was familiar with Barstool Sports when it was a print media outlet in 2003. Barstool Sports hired her as the company’s first CEO in July of 2016.
