Drew Lock plays American football. Before being selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2019 Draft, the outstanding quarterback competed for the University of Missouri. Lock was a promising basketball and football player in high school, but he decided to pursue a career in the NFL rather than the NBA.

Drew Lock father’s aspirations of playing in the NFL were limited

Andy Lock was an offensive lineman for the University of Missouri in the late 1980s. Sadly, he sustained a leg injury in his final year that prevented him from being drafted.

He was given some hope when the New York Giants invited him to a training camp, but he was not selected for the squad. Andy’s NFL dream was effectively crushed by that rejection.

He is, fortunately, able to realize his desire thanks to his gifted son. All of Andy’s college games were watched by Andy and Laura, and they make an effort to see as many NFL games as they can. Every time he is on the field, according to Drew, he represents his father, according to Broncos Wire:

“I think for my dad to see his kid go out and accomplish that and live out the dream that he wanted to complete is pretty good for him. Just seeing my dad – he was an undrafted person and got to play a couple of preseason games – he wanted to make it to the biggest stage is pretty cool for him. I’m just pleased I can help him and everyone else here.

Drew Lock’s mother blasted the league

After the NFL suspended Drew from playing for breaking COVID-19 guidelines, Drew’s mother blasted the league.

Lock received criticism from the public and the media for disobeying the NFL’s rules regarding mask use in late November 2020. He was disqualified from the Denver quarterbacks’ game versus the New Orleans Saints due to his behavior. Although everyone agreed that Drew acted irresponsibly, many people thought the League’s punishment was excessive.

The main theme of Laura’s social media criticism of the NFL was “shame.” She blasted the League for treating Drew and his rivals unfairly. On Twitter, she tweeted the following:

“These are a group of four males who had tested negative that day and are with their folks, or, as we like to call it, their “environment.” They relaxed and did not wear masks the entire time they were in a setting where there was social distance; it was unpleasant but not incriminating.

The Broncos were embarrassingly defeated by the Saints without a reliable quarterback. Lock expressed regret for his error and admitted that he must be “perfect” in the future to prevent protocol violations. He also supported his mother’s criticism of the NFL. According to Lock, The Denver Channel:

Moms will always be moms; it is a simple fact. Whatever the circumstance, they will defend their child. Mom is a hothead. I’ve never had a horrible game where I wasn’t more afraid of her than my dad.

She has always been that way, therefore. This is where it has brought me. She’s always been fiery, and she’s given me a lot of lessons that have helped me succeed in the league. That will be the end of it.
