‘Candy Girl,’ his first record, was released there. Due to a financial disagreement, New Edition left Starr and began recording for MCA Records, where he was allowed to release his self-titled debut in 1950.
The album reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200, was certified two times Platinum by the RIAA and sold two million copies. ‘The Blue Moon’ and ‘Heart Break’ were two of his other successful albums.

I married my childhood sweetheart
In their early adolescence, Mariah’s father and mother, Shelly Jean Tresvant, fell in love. They met when they were 11 years old and have been in a love relationship ever since.
Ralph married his childhood sweetheart after 16 years of dating in 1993. They enjoyed a happy marriage until 1995 when their romantic relationship began to disintegrate.
Parental divorce
Unfortunately, her parents’ long love could not last forever and ended tragically. Her parents divorced three years after they married in 1996. Their divorce was caused by her father’s adulterous affairs.
He lived happily with his new wife after their divorce, leaving her mother in the grip of a debilitating drug addiction. Shelly was discovered to be addicted to crack cocaine and had been sighted wandering from the route in 2017. She is also said to be homeless in Atlanta.

For the second time, her father married Amber Serrano, a virtual artist, and visual art designer. He was one of her favorites, and she admired New Edition. When she was 13, she began seeing him as a fan, but their connection soon moved to a new level as a partner.
The couple dated for eight years before exchanging vows and rings. In a double wedding ceremony on September 18, 2004, he wedded his New Edition bandmate Ricky Bell and his wife, Amy Correa. As a result of their marriage, they had a son.
The spouse has begun dating another woman
Ralph’s relationship with Amber has also ended after 16 years of marriage. Amber’s husband’s new girlfriend is Monique Debarge. She divorced R&B singer EI Debarge, with whom she had four children.
The couple has not stated when they started dating or how long they have been together. Monique disclosed their relationship on her Instagram account by publishing a picture of them with a comment saying that they had established a new relationship as of New Year’s 2020.
Have Three siblings
Mariah has three brothers and sisters, two from her original parents and one from her stepmother. They include Na’quelle Tresvant-Smit, the sister, and Ralph Jr., the next brother.
