Mark Driscoll, a well-known radio broadcaster and voice actor, passed away yesterday, August 22, 2022, at the age of 72. Driscoll died in West Palm Beach while receiving hospice care.
AllAccess.com, a music, and radio trade website, initially announced Driscoll’s death, which was later confirmed by Art Vuolo, a well-known filmmaker, and historian in the radio industry.
Prior to his death, Mark had relocated to West Palm Beach and since July 2022 had been suffering health issues. Mark’s actual cause of death is unknown. As soon as feasible, the funeral arrangements will be released to the public.

Mark Driscoll was a well-known radio program director, voice actor, and disc jockey for numerous stations. His distinctive voice was recognized by the vast majority of industry professionals.
The Oklahoma native began his career in Texas under Gordon McLendon as a teenager. Then he worked in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Boston, in addition to Washington, D.C.
Driscoll has done voiceovers for ABC shows such as Scandal and was the voice on Saturday Night Live after Don Pardo. Afterward, he provided his voice for a Fox prime-time highlight reel. Los Angeles-based Avalon Artists Group was in charge of Mark’s TV voiceover work.
Mark’s liners and station promotion work for clients including WKHI-FM, KKLQ-FM “Q106,” and KTFM “Hot 103” propelled him to popularity in radio in 1991.
Driscoll’s voice was used for images and ads during the initial 1989 broadcast of WIOQ-FM “Q102” in Philadelphia. WEGX “Eagle 106” had recently entered the Top 40 at the time. Former CHR/Pop Editor at Radio & Records Tony Novia recalled:

Mark began his career in 1974 at WBBF in Rochester, New York, then KSTP/Minneapolis in 1976, and WNBC-AM in New York in October 1978, where he scheduled a 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. slot. Driscoll then decided to become a programming consultant and voice actor.
