Sheryl Sandberg wed Tom Bernthal in Wyoming on Saturday. The philanthropist married the founder and former CEO of Kelton Global after three years of dating. Sheryl Sandberg made the news public by uploading a photo of the newlyweds to her Instagram account. The caption of the image reads “married.”
Who is Tom Bernthal?
On Saturday, after Sheryl wed Bernthal, the world began to question her spouse, Tom. Bernthal is the founder and former CEO of Kelton Global, a Los Angeles-based strategic consulting firm. Prior to joining Kelton in 2002, he worked for NBC News as a national producer.
He worked for the media organization from 1996 until 2002, during which time he won three Emmys. Throughout his journalistic career, he has contributed to Today, Nightly News, and Deadline, as well as the networks MSNBC and CNBC.
His father, who was born in Washington, was a lawyer with Latham & Watkins LLP and currently serves as chairman of the US Humane Society’s board of directors.
Moreover, he has two brothers named Jon and Nicholas. While Jon is well known for his role as the Punisher, Nicholas is an orthopedic physician and professor at UCLA.

Sheryl, 52, and Tom, 50, were formerly married to separate individuals. Dave, Sheryl’s husband, died unexpectedly of a heart attack, whereas Tom had been divorced for several years.
Rob Goldberg, the brother of Sheryl’s late husband, arranged the meeting and helped Tom and Sheryl connect. Rob once revealed to a reporter that Bernthal was a personal friend and former NBC News producer. In addition, he stated that he was aware Tom was seeking a life partner after his divorce.

In actuality, in 2021, when announcing the recipients of the Dave Goldberg Scholarship, a program established by Dave’s family in his honor, Bernthal remarked on his friendship with Sheryl’s late husband by stating:
“As one of the fortunate few who met Dave personally, I’ve seen firsthand how this program represents his philosophy of providing people every opportunity to work hard and accomplish anything possible.”
Sandberg, who is leaving her position as COO of Meta in September, has previously indicated that she cannot see dating again, let alone getting married. In a recent Instagram post announcing his wedding to Sheryl Sandberg, Tom stated the same thing.
He shared a photo with the caption:
“Sheryl and I were doubtful that we would ever find love again after each of us suffered a loss. Over the past three years, our lives and families have become intertwined. The wedding of today was a dream come true.”
Sheryl, who has a daughter and a son, and Tom, who has three children, told everyone, “We’re all getting married.” The couple requested that in lieu of wedding gifts, attendees donate to VOW and CARE, two organizations that support anti-child marriage and poverty reduction efforts.
