Sade and Ne-Yo have recently welcomed their second child. Sade revealed the news on Instagram by posting multiple images of the newborn, including one of her holding the youngster.
The text explained:
“Greetings, Brixton. I adore you, pooh… “Welcome home, my darling child!”
Sade also posted images of herself holding the infant’s hand while it slept on her chest to her Instagram Story. She also released a close-up image of the newborn, followed by two recordings of the infant sleeping.
The divorce between Ne and Crystal Renay was finalized last month. In 2015, when the artist was working on his debut album, Non-Fiction, they first met. Renay filed for divorce in August 2022, accusing him of fathering a child with another woman.
People report that they divorced in July 2022, and Renay told TMZ at the time that there was no chance of a reconciliation.
While the divorce was finalized in February 2023, Ne-Yo, aka Shaffer Chimere Smith, was ordered to pay an additional $20,000 in child support and $1.6 million to equalize the property holdings.
Renay retained ownership of the property in Georgia, and the Stay artist was ordered to pay $150,000 for a new vehicle for Renay.
The couple was granted joint custody of their children, and Smith was ordered to pay Renay $5,000 in alimony and $12,000 in child support for three years.
Ne-Yo, the father of five children
Ne-Yo is well-known in the music industry for his prolific output. Yet, he is also well-known for his personal life, in which he has maintained close relationships with several women over the years.
While Jesseca White had a child in 2005, it was later revealed that the artist was not the child’s biological father. Yo said in a 2010 interview that he and his then-girlfriend Monyetta Shaw were expecting a child.
Nathan and Monyetta Smith welcomed a daughter, Madilyn Grace Smith, in November 2010 and a son, Mason Evan Smith, the following year. In 2012, the pair split, and Ne revealed the news in an Instagram post, indicating that it was a mutual decision.
Ne-Yo wed Crystal Renay in 2016, following their 2015 engagement. In 2018, they welcomed a son named Shaffer Chimere Jr. and a son named Roman Alexander-Raj Smith.
After having a girl, Isabella Rose Smith, the previous year, the couple was expecting another child in February 2021. In February 2023, the couple submitted a divorce petition.
Ne-Yo released his second album in 2006
In 2006, his debut album, In My Own Words, landed at number one on the US Billboard 200. He is also known by the name Shaffer Chimere Smith. He continued to release albums such as Because of You, Libra Scale, Non-Fiction, and Decent Man.
Ne-Yo has also appeared in films and television shows like Battle: Los Angeles, Red Tails, Girls Trip, Wild ‘N Out, All My Children, Private Sessions, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and 90210, among others.
