Asuchak played four seasons of major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League. He is a Kamloops, British Columbia native.
In 2008, he agreed to play for the Tri-City Americans, and he did so during the 2009 Campaign. He made 54 games before going to Prince George, amassing 11 points (6G, 5A).
He also participated in 178 games for the Cougars, recording 89 points (44G, 45A) during that period.

The news of Spencer Asuchak’s arrest is popular on Reddit. According to Reddit, a prostitution sting operation resulted in the arrest of Spencer Asuchak from Ottawa’s ECHL affiliate Allen Americans in Frisco, Texas.
Reddit has since taken down the thread on the arrest, though. It is therefore uncertain whether the report of his arrest is true or is merely a rumor.
