The Magician’s Elephant, a new Netflix animated feature, will debut on the streaming service on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 3 a.m. ET. The plot revolves around a young child who is required to complete three seemingly difficult tasks in exchange for a mystical elephant.

The vocal ensemble features Noah Jupe in the lead role, as well as a slew of others in key secondary roles. Wendy Rogers directed the film, which is based on Kate DiCamillo’s novel of the same name.

“Peter is on the hunt for his long-lost sister, and when he meets a fortune teller in the market center, he only has one question: is his sister still alive?”

“The response, that he must find an enigmatic elephant and the sorcerer who will summon it, sends Peter on a perilous journey to complete three seemingly impossible tasks that will permanently alter the character of his community and lead him on a lifetime adventure.”

Based on the description and teaser, fans can expect a friendly, cheerful kids/family story that tackles topics such as exploration, family, and love, among others.

Noah Jupe plays Peter in the animated film. Jupe portrays his character’s naivety and endearing charisma masterfully, and viewers can expect an unforgettable performance from the young performer. Benedict Wong, who plays the Trickster opposite Noah Jupe, also plays an important role.
