The fourth and final season of Good Girls concluded with a conclusion that didn’t seem like a finale for Beth, Annie, and Ruby, even though it did give the payout of Beth becoming in charge with Rio working under her.

But if the unexpected termination of the show hadn’t already been revealed, Annie’s finale appears more like the beginning of a delicious new tale that would have been continued in Season 5.

When Annie was detained in Good Girls, why?

Despite all signs to the contrary, Annie was taken into custody. Although the Annie twist originally baffled viewers, some hints go in the right direction.

The solutions to all of those questions can be found in the Season 4 premiere, not either half of the series finale. Early in March, the first episode of Season 4 aired, and it featured an emotional dialogue between Annie and Mick in the vehicle. Beth is “a perfect mom,” according to Annie, and “it shouldn’t be her prints on that gun.”

Although Annie didn’t say it out loud in that scenario, it was indicated that she wanted Mick to remove her prints and put them on the gun that murdered Lucy so that Annie, not Beth, would receive a jail term if Rio handed the weapon into the Police.

To Good Girls’ credit, by putting that sequence in a “Previously On” recap at the beginning of each hour, the finale managed to keep the twist of the gun coming into play a secret.

This has the drawback of maybe confusing some viewers as to why Annie and not Beth ended up in trouble.

What genuinely occurred to Annie?

In the second hour of the two-part series finale, Mick showed up at Beth’s house with what looked to be the intention of murdering her for betraying Nick. This caused Nick to be put in prison and forced to exact his vengeance from a distance.

With merely a flesh wound and his rifle neatly left where it could be used as evidence, Mick squandered what seemed to be a fortuitous chance.

But since this is Good Girls, there weren’t any lucky breaks or handy twists.

Since Lucy had been killed by a gun, Nick had intended for Mick to shoot Beth rather than kill her to draw the police’s attention, leave the pistol for them to locate, and give them the chance to examine the gun’s prints.

Explained Good Girls Ending

In the end, Beth was shown triumphant, Ruby appeared to support Beth rather than relocating to Nevada with her family, and Annie was seen imprisoned. There are linkages since Annie’s conclusion was the one that viewers first believed to be the least plausible.

Because a fifth season of Good Girls was still being discussed, the fourth season concluded with some narrative lines unfinished. After season four, Beth Boland (Hendricks) is chosen for the municipal council.

Mick (Carlos Aviles) arrives at Beth’s house and shoots her before they have a chance to quit their life of crime and flee to Nevada. Additionally aiming to quit their life of crime there is her husband Dean (Matthew Lillard), her sister Annie (Whitman), pals Ruby (Retta) and her spouse Stan (Reno Wilson), and her husband.

Because he has always had the upper hand in their relationship, she has spent the entirety of her time up to this point as a petty felon, obedient to his dictates.
