Police reportedly detained Joseph Olvera, 22, on March 11 at his home in the 500 block of Spruce Street, according to a criminal complaint.
According to the complaint, Olvera reportedly called 911 to claim that he had killed and strangled his fiancée; at this point, Winnebago County Sheriff’s officers were sent to the site.
He declared that he had a number of weapons and that he would commit himself to the cause. Dispatch reported hearing what seemed to be gunfire.

She demonstrated generosity while working as a waitress at her mother’s shop, Chic Tique Girls, and the Fox and Crow Bistro in Ripon, Wisconsin.
The attractive young woman graduated from Laconia High School in 2020 with her class and received a softball letter. She excelled academically while attending Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Johanna worked two jobs while maintaining a 3.9 GPA and double majoring in marketing and healthcare management. She was on schedule to graduate one semester early.
The obituary stated that she had a great sense of fashion and enjoyed having manicures, always going for a light pink shade.
Schultz embraced her femininity and exhibited her uniqueness via her sense of style.
The Omro Police Department and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check and discovered Johanna’s body at a home on Spruce Street.
When law officers came, there was a brief altercation with a 22-year-old guy, according to the sheriff’s office.
