Since her automobile was discovered, blood and fingerprint evidence was gathered from the murder site, and the killer was swiftly identified, the investigation proceeded.

When her mother was killed, Jocelyn Goode, Sarah Goode’s daughter, was four years old

When Goode left the house, her four-year-old daughter Jocelyn was with her parents.

Sarah passed away in June 2014; her daughter is now 13 years old. Sarah’s parents remained at her side throughout her childhood. Knowing Sarah was a mother to a 4-year-old kid was painful.

Despite being pregnant, she persisted with her studies. After having Jocelyn, she kept attending college.

Jocelyn has been cared after by her sister and her husband, Nick, as well as Srah’s relatives; you can see a lot of images of little Goode with her uncle Nick on his Instagram account.

This demonstrates that she has a strong bond with her aunt and uncle, who have been raising her since she was four years old.

Since she passed away, Sarah’s Facebook profile has continued to be active; her family said that they wish to maintain Sarah via her Facebook account.

They often shared photos of their daughter spending her birthday alone; they brought Sarah back to life via a Facebook post.

Sarah Goode, Jocelyn’s mother, was murdered

Dante Taylor, 19, was the last person to contact Sarah during the inquiry, and subsequent GPS, phone records, and a blood-stained handprint discovered in Sarah’s vehicle showed Taylor was the one.

He was freed after a brief detention because police had unlawfully taken his fingerprints, DNA, and phone records. He was temporarily released since police searched his vehicle without a warrant as well.

Uncertainty surrounded the reason for Sarah’s murder, however, one of Taylor’s pals said that he had tried to date Sarah but she had rejected him.

He was once again detained for the attempted rape of a lady he threatened with a knife three years after Sarah’s murder.

He was charged with Sarah Goode’s second-degree murder while he was still in detention, and he received a life sentence.

However, Taylor was severely beaten by correctional officials when he was incarcerated, which caused him to commit suicide. As a result, his family filed a lawsuit against the police officer after he was discovered dead in his cell in October 2017.
